The Office of Coal Seam Gas has just given AGL approval to frack four coal seam gas wells in Gloucester.
Why were these wells approved when AGL's current Coal Seam Gas activities in Western Sydney are causing so many problems to residents. Families have noticed abnormalities with their homes. Homes that are only four years old are showing signs of subsidence, cracked walls, sinking foundations, and cracked drive ways. We spoke to a mother living 300 metres from a CSG well, who told us she "can't hang out any washing, due to the dust caused by mining trucks" instead she uses her dryer every day which is costing her a fortune.
Gloucester residents do not want fracked coal seam gas wells 300 metres from homes. This weeks admission by QGC confirms what we've always known - Coal Seam Gas is harmful to health and should not be happening anywhere near homes.
