Nell Schofield

Nell works for The Sunrise Project on the Land Water Future campaign. She was previously the Sydney Coordinator with Lock The Gate, a national alliance that works with communities to protect our shared land and water from coal and gas projects.

Anne Kennedy

Anne is the President of the Great Artesian Protection Group and lives on a farm in Coonamble, north west NSW. Anne has fought tirelessly over the past 5 years to stop the spread of big gas company SANTOS into her region. Anne is currently working alongside farmers, indigenous communities and environmentalists who are campaigning in the Pilliga Forest to stop SANTOS' Narrabri Gas Project. This project is planning 850 coal seam gas wells above the Great Artesian Basin recharge area, however local farmers say the risk associated with water contamination and coal seam gas is far too great.

Jeff Kite

Jeff is a water resources engineer and provides technical support on water issues to Groundswell Gloucester. He was involved in the production of 2 reports by Groundswell “Exposing the Risks: Fundamental Flaws in AGL’s application to frack CSG wells in Gloucester” and “Poor ESG and AGL in Gloucester”. Jeff worked in water resources/environmental management for WA Government water agencies then spent 5 years working in PNG on village water supplies through the Uniting Church relief and development agency and then a further 4 years as Pacific project officer before retiring to Gloucester in 2008.
