Opening night ‘Faces from Places’ exhibition at the B-Side Creative Space in Brookvale

Emerging Artist OTC today announced his debut solo exhibition ‘Faces from Places’ at the B-Side Creative Space in Brookvale. OTC, London raised and currently Sydney based, creates stunning illustrations distinguished by their intriguing shapes and patterns.

‘Faces from Places’ is a living documentation of years sailing the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean; an ongoing series of illustrations paying homage to the nature, culture, communities and traditions native to these exotic regions. A former student of Central Saint Martin’s, OTC’s distinctive style draws on modern and street-art techniques to form striking contemporary interpretations of ancient designs, entwined with the unfaltering expression of his remarkably alluring faces.

Of his inspiration OTC said ‘From the exquisite colours of the Caribbean Islands to the simple but lucid designs of Polynesia and the South Pacific, these memories are alive, and whenever pen goes to paper I can’t help but be inspired by the places I visit.’.

The B-Side Creative Space is a popular artist's studio, event space and cafe in the Northern Beaches. It is becoming increasingly celebrated among Sydney’s forward thinking young creatives as a place to collaborate and be inspired by the talent available on our doorstep.
