Brisbane - help save the Leard Forest at Maules Creek

You may not be able to get to Maules Creek near Gunnedah in north-west NSW to help save the Leard State Forest from destruction, but there are other ways you can help - and they're fun!

People are responding to the call to action and heading out to the forest this weekend and next week to stop the Whitehaven coal mine from progressing and to save the region’s flora and fauna from the bull-dozers. But if you can’t make it there you can still help others by raising money to keep the protectors' camp going.

Yes, it’s time for Brisbane's Block-AID 2 fundraiser and we hope we can better the first event that raised more than $5000 for the Maules Creek crew.
It’s on Friday, June 13 from 6:00pm at Slab: 127 Stephens Road, South Brisbane. Entrance is by donation.
There’ll be some great bands, two speakers will talk about their experiences and there'll be yummy vegan food, a bar and mulled wine to keep the winter chills at bay.
