Help stop coal mining in Sydney’s watercatchment area

Join Ramesh Agrawal on Sunday 3 April to hear his story about how he stood up to Jindal Steel and Power.

It's crucially important that Ramesh's story about the shocking misdeeds of Jindal Steel and Power is told in Australia, now that they are the parent company of Wollongong Coal, which wants to undertake risky underground mining beneath Sydney's drinking water catchment.

Wollongong Coal wants to push its operations further into the Lake Cataract catchment — one of the key water resources for the Illawarra and Macarthur, and a back-up reservoir for Sydney.

WaterNSW is warning 7.3 million litres of water per day could be lost.

"I want people in NSW to assess Wollongong Coal’s project with full knowledge of JSPL’s corporate record in India. When you know what I know, I don’t think you’ll want this company in your catchment." — Ramesh Agrawal

NSW Resources Minister - Anthony Roberts – has the power under the new 'fit and proper person' test in the NSW Mining Act, to stop JSPL from threatening our catchment. He can cancel their mining lease.

Join us and find out how we can protect our water from this coal mine expansion.
