A: Good on you Wendy. It breaks my heart to drive through the Hunter Valley as it is and may there be no more mines opened . I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Sharyn Munro some time ago and reading her book. Your courage and commitment, like hers is inspiring and may there be more of it. Let’s hope the dreaded Adani does not get their dirty hands on the Galilee Basin.

We must stand up for our beliefs – I’m an advanced Octogenarian and I will continue to make my beliefs felt when it comes to preserving our Australian lifestyle. I’m sure that the Local politicians wish me further !!.

A: Dear Wendy, I dips me lid — in appreciation of your stand, and your determination to bring down the greed mongers (mongrels?)

We are stuck with stupid members of parliament who theoretically should be representing the people, and standing guard on our environment. Instead, these idiots are blithely selling out to the Packers and Adanis of this world. I hope they’ll be able to explain to their children and grandchildren what they have done!

How precious are our fertile soils? We can’t eat coal; and we can’t drink gas, yet the short-sighted allies of developers are fully prepared to sacrifice our farming lands and water, and anything else, in the name of the fast buck.

Again, thank you for showing up these hollow men, warming the seats in State and Federal parliaments. Tories, as you and I know, were born with dollar signs in their eyes instead of pupils. If I can quote Oscar’s well-worn saying. These are people “who know the price of everything — and the value of nothing”.
