Over the next few months we face a triple threat from coal mining in NSW.
Three new coal mine projects will enter public consultation this year, including HVO coal mine expansion, the largest proposed coal project ever in NSW’s history.
The impact on our land, our wildlife, our water, our communities, and the millions of tonnes of lifecycle emissions of greenhouse gases on our climate would be enormous.
It will take all of us to raise awareness and put pressure on to stop inappropriate and risky mines.
Can you volunteer at Addison Road markets on Sunday 19 April and help collect petition signatures outside the entrance?
We’ll send a reminder text in the lead-up and provide a background brief and petition materials on the day.
Our petition work is an impactful and strategic way of being visible on this issue and building momentum for change.
Hope you can be part of it!
