Why: Call on AGL to close down its CSG wells near homes in Camden
AGL recently announced they will be rehabilitating 17 coal seam gas wells in the Camden Gas Project in 2017 however they are refusing to decommission those gas wells closest to family homes in Spring Farm and Mount Annan until 2023.
There are a list of 22 CSG wells that have been drilled near homes (some less than 100 metres!) Some of the closest gas wells to homes have a history of water leaks, gas leaks, blow outs and accidents leading to injured workers.
This Christmas the community is calling on AGL to close down those gas wells closest to family homes immidiately not in 2023!
