Breeza Declaration and Statement from Gomeroi People

Breeza Declaration

Gomeroi Traditional Owners, the NSW Farmers Association, the Country Women’s Association of NSW, Unions NSW and Lock the Gate Alliance gathered at Breeza on Gomeroi country on the Liverpool Plains to issue a joint declaration in March 2026.

The Breeza Declaration calls on the NSW Government to withdraw support for Santos’ Narrabri Gas Project.

It commits alliance partners to defend Country while protecting water and prime agricultural land.

It rejects forced industrialisation of rural communities for coal seam gas and calls for a different path to invest in sustainable regional industries that strengthen rather than undermine rural communities.
