We're hosting a crafternoon in our Brisbane office to prepare for our action outside the BHP AGM!
BHP will be entertaining their shareholders at their Annual General Meeting on October 30th at Brisbane's Royal International Convention Centre, and trying to sell their ‘Climate Transition Action Plan.’ BHP wants to hide the fact that they want to expand some of Queensland’s biggest and dirtiest coal mines - Caval Ridge, Peak Downs and Saraji and keep mining out until the 2090s!
When it comes to a safe climate, the science is clear - we can’t afford to keep burning coal. Australia must transition to green steel alternatives and end our reliance on coal now, so we’ll be getting crafty and making some eye-catching, impactful placards, banners and props for the BHP AGM, to make sure our message is unmissable - BHP is dodgy on climate!
You can drop in whenever you're free between 2-6pm, and stay for as long or as little as you like!
We'll provide all the materials along with light snacks and refreshments, so all you need to bring is your creativity!
