Premier, you have given us the best Christmas present ever—Protection of the waters and environment in the Channel country from more oil and gas extraction.This allows us hope for reducing our high Greenhouse Gas emissions and hope for a safer climate and a liveable future. Dear Premier Miles,

Thank you sincerely for protecting the country and waters of the channel country.

As a modest farmer in Victoria I know that the health of land reflects our mental health, our beliefs and assumption written on the landscape. Indigenous peoples knew this with every atom of their being. Thank you for acknowledging their knowledge and providing time for others to grow to this knowing and loving.

Government has announced they are locking in protections for the rivers and floodplains of the Lake Eyre Basin from new oil and gas! Thank you for standing with Traditional Owners and the farmers of South West Queensland, helping to protect this unique landscape from harm. NO MORE FRACKING is wonderful news for Christmas 2023.
