Cyclone Survivors Solidarity Action

Many people across our communities are still picking up the pieces following the landfall of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Communities from Hervey Bay to Lismore and Ipswich were hit with devastating wild weather and flooding.

On Thursday March 20th at 10am we’ll be standing in solidarity and hearing from cyclone survivors as they share their stories and call for more government action on climate change.

The science is clear: Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred was a climate disaster made worse by coal and gas pollution.

It’s unacceptable that our leaders continue to roll out the red carpet for wealthy coal and gas companies when our communities are hurting every summer from unnatural disasters, like more extreme floods, storms, fires and heatwaves.

Join us to unite behind cyclone survivors and demand our governments stand up for our communities, not profits for wealthy multinational coal and gas corporations.
