Stop Coal Seam Gas Camden are hosting a public meeting at Camden Uniting Church on the future of the Camden Gas Project. Will you come along?
Recently, we celebrated, as AGL announced it would not proceed with coal seam gas production at Gloucester and that they would wind-up their Camden Gas Project by 2023.
However, AGL still have operating gas wells less than 100 metres from family homes in the Camden local government area, and a recent news poll in the Camden Advertiser has found 85% of the community want to see the closure of these wells sooner.
Among the biggest concerns about unconventional gas is its impact on health. We'd like to invite you to come along and hear first hand accounts and the latest scientific research about the health affects of coal seam gas at our forum in Camden on Saturday 27th February.
Guest speakers include Camden resident Danielle Hodges who has recently arrived home from the International Anti-Fracking Summit in Paris where she spoke out publicly about her family's experience living in the Camden Gas Project.
Other guests include Dr Mariann-Lloyd Smith from the National Toxics Network who will discuss alarming new research into the health impacts of unconventional gasfields in the US and Australia.
Please RSVP here and tell those who you think will be interested in coming along and getting active.
Hope to see you there.
