Community Meeting. Somerset Region Wivenhoe Catchment

The Somerset Region and the Wivenhoe Dam ( drinking water for Brisbane and SE Qld) is under threat of coal mining. Coal exploration drill rigs moved into 5 locations late last year. The Somerset Regional Council Declared a moratorium on coal mining in early 2012. This has been ignored by the Qld Government. Guest speakers included DREW HUTTON and screening of FRACTURED COUNTRY.  Come along to learn more and find out what you can do to protect the region and SE Queenslands water supply.
