Farm Fair - Bringing the bush to the city

Come meet your friendly local farmers and hear about the need to protect Queensland’s food bowls.

Whether it’s grains, veggies, meat, or milk, Queensland farmers are working hard every day to bring food to your table.

Despite huge concern about coal and gas mining across Brisbane, coal and gas companies are pushing ahead with their plans to frack our water and dig up our farmland. Without community opposition, these projects will go ahead.

Come to the Farm Fair to sample local produce, hear great music, meet farm animals and hear from local farmers about their efforts to protect Queensland’s food bowls from inappropriate development.

Featuring:

Darling Downs farmers Frank and Lynn Ashman who are part of the community effort to save local dairying and beef country.

Farmers from the Lake Eyre Basin, protecting the wild rivers of the Channel Country from gas fracking.
