Next
Tuesday, April 26 at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM the Nature Conservation Council of NSW and The Wilderness Society will host this important event in Manly to raise awareness about SANTOS' controversial Narrabri Gas Project in the Pilliga Forest.
The Santos coal seam gas project in the Pilliga forest is the last gasfield proposal left in NSW. Santos wants to drill 850 gas wells in the Pilliga, the largest intact temperate woodland left in eastern Australia. This special place is the recharge area for the great artesian basin and home to thousands of years of Gamilaraay heritage.
We now have an unprecedented opportunity for make NSW CSG free. In early May the new Santos CEO, Kevin Gallagher will face his first AGM. Let's make the most of this opportunity and make sure it's clear that we want NSW coal seam gas free.
Join us for an important forum and hear from local farmers, Traditional Owners and conservationists from the proposed Santos gasfield region and learn how we can work together to make NSW CSG free.
