Tell Gunnedah Council we don't want coal seam gas or their fly-in/fly-out workers. Meet outside Gunnedah Council Chambers for a public forum at 3pm, and bring along your placards and banners, and then we will go inside to the public gallery at 4pm to hear the Councils decision.
This is a very important meeting where Gunnedah Council will decide whether or not to approve a coal seam gas work camp at Curlewis. It is essential that there is a large presence on the day to make it clear to Council that the community is strongly opposed to the development.
There were a record number of submissions on the work camp, over 400 and growing. However, the Council needs to hear directly from the community that we are not prepared to accept the risks and problems associated with coal seam gas and fly-in/fly-out workers.
