Heroes and Visionaries

The Leard Forest Alliance is proud to invite you to an important event honouring two Australians who stand out as examples of courage, endurance and generosity - two people who have stood firm against the controversial destruction of the Leard State Forest for the largest coal mine currently under construction in Australia.

Those men are Bill Ryan, a ninety-two year old Kokoda war veteran who has been arrested taking direct action to stop Whitehaven Coal at Maules Creek, and Cliff Wallace, the local farmer hosting the popular community camp at Maules Creek.
