Join Illawarra Residents for Responsible Mining as they host a public forum on mining in Sydney's Water Catchments.
National Parks Association mining projects science officer Dr Peter Turner will be giving us an update on the recent developments in coal mining in the Sydney Water Catchment Special Areas.
Dr Peter Turner will also talk about impacts on the quality and quantity of our drinking water by mining, and how efforts by the State Government to water down the catchment's legislative protection further put the water resources at risk.
There will be QandA, and an opportunity to meet with others in the community who support the protection of the water catchment for the 5 million residents of Greater Sydney from mining induced damage.
All are welcome and light refreshments will be provided
We hope you can join us.
