The Queensland government is currently considering legislation to reform the way we deal with mine closure and land rehabilitation. The legislation could be voted on any day now.
A key test of this legislation will be how it deals with existing mines such as Jeeboropilly and Ebenezer on the outskirts of Ipswich.
Come join us for light snacks and interesting discussions about how the ipswich community can be involved in the campaign to ensure Queensland makes the most of this once in a generation reform to make mining companies clean up their mess.
This is a free event but registration is encouraged so we can gauge numbers. Some food will be provided. Drinks will be available to purchase from the cafe.
