A meeting for Denman and District residents who are interested in uniting with other people who want to keep their district Coal Mine and Gas Field free.  After the speakers the meeting will form several Coal and Gas free groups for the different areas around Denman that are affected by Coal Mine Exploration Licences or Petroleum Exploration Licences.

Speakers include:

* John G Kaye of the Keep Denman Coal Mine Free Campaign, will provide updates on exploration licences and 'non-cooperation'.

*Kathleen Oldman a Lawyer from Denman who has experience in representing land holders who are under an exploration licence, access agreements and going to arbitration

*Martin Rush the Mayor of Muswellbrook Shire, who will speak about the Muswellbrook Shire Land Use Policy

* Steve Phillips, regional coordinator Lock the Gate, will talk about how other regions have formed Gas Free Communities and how we can start to form Coal and Gas free Communities in our area.

The Denman Memorial Hall is located in the main street of Denman near Paxton Street next to the Denman Pharmacy.
