Come along to New Hope Corp’s AGM at Ipswich to Say NO to the Acland Coal Mine expansion to Stage 3 at the Darling Downs, and the approval of the Colton Coal mine near Maryborough at the Wide Bay Burnett.
Local communities are objecting to two of New Hope Group’s mining applications in the Land Court. They need our support to save farmland, water and communities.
WHERE: Theatre Auditorium, Ipswich Civic Centre, Corner Limestone and Nicholas Streets, Ipswich.
WHEN: Thursday, November 19. Arrive 10.00 - 10.30 am for speeches at 11.00am. AGM starts at noon.
WHAT: Local farmers and landholders will tell you how the Acland mine is impacting them already and how stage 3 will increase that suffering. The Queensland Sadies, Knitting Nannas and Lock the Gate’s Drew Hutton will also be there.
WHY: Send a clear message to shareholders to stop mining on farming land and destroying underground water reserves in Queensland. Save our land and water!
