The 'Pedal for the Platypus' weekend features:

CAMP: in a paddock in Sutton Forest (near Berrima) owned by members of Coal Free Southern Highlands

WALK: early morning Platypus watching walk near Berrima, along the Wingecarribee River

RIDE: a ‘Pedal for the Platypus’ bike ride from historic Berrima to the Hume Coal Mine site, Medway Colliery, Wingecarribee River and back (you’ll need to BYO a bicycle for this free community ride)

BBQ: Community BBQ hosted by Battle for Berrima in the heart of historic Berrima

TOWN HALL: community meeting with local MPs and candidates to examine coal mining within the Sydney Drinking Water Catchment

There are two options. Support Battle for Berrima's major fundraiser for the year (Option A) or camp at Sutton Forest and join Lock the Gate's #Time2Choose dinner in the farm shed (Option B)

BOWRAL CLASSIC SOCIAL BIKE RIDE ON SUNDAY MORNING
- This is a commercial bike ride with courses available from 35kms all the way up to 175kms.

Support Battle for Berrima's major fundraiser for 2018 starting at 6.30pm on Saturday 20 October in Berrima. Keynote speaker for the night is Dr Ian Wright - one of Australia's leading water scientists, who has been studying water pollution associated with coal mines for nearly 20 years in the Sydney basin. Enjoy great food and wine at this ‘Save the Platypus’-themed event. Join Lock the Gate and Battle for Berrima's #Time2Choose team for the Bowral Classic. Enter now for your choice of everything from a 35km social ride which explores the Southern Highlands, right up to the 175km Maxi. The Bowral Classic social ride costs $64 per adult and $32 per child with your 20% B4B discount. It includes coffee and a cake at a Berrima cafe of your choice.
