On Sunday 17 March Campbelltown will host a community rally against Coal Seam Gas in Koshigaya Park at 12pm.
Speakers on the day will include Drew Hutton (President of Lock The Gate Alliance) John Dugas (Barrington-Gloucester-Stroud Preservation Alliance) Jess Moore (Stop CSG Illawarra) and MC Len Williamson (local resident of 35 years).
As Western Sydney becomes the centre of the federal election it seems fitting to bring this local, state and national issue of coal seam gas extraction into the public eye.
If Liberal and Labor are looking for major issues and community concerns in Western Sydney then the issues of health, environment and water contamination at coal seam gas facilities is one concern we want addressed now.
The significance of this rally on March 17th at Koshigaya Park in Campbelltown in making Coal Seam Gas a federal election issue cannot be overstated. This is an open invitation to CSG groups from all over Western Sydney, NSW and Australia to come along.
