The Narrabri Gas Project is about to be referred to the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) for a decision that will have profound consequences for our climate and for one of the largest underground water reservoirs in the world - The Great Artesian Basin.
Farming communities in the NSW NW urgently need your help to make sure that Planning Minister Rob Stokes understands why 98.7% of people in shires surrounding the proposed Narrabri Gas project oppose the development.
RSVP now for a community action workshop on the Narrabri Gas Project at the Narrabeen Coastal Environment Centre at 6pm on Wed 19 February?
- A comprehensive presentation will be delivered by Kathy McKenzie (CSG Free North West and Sydney Knitting Nannas Against Gas).
- Kathy will explain why it makes no sense to develop this risky gas project and what’s at stake.
- We’ll then have time in the workshop for participants to: a) write a submission to the IPC; and b) agree a local plan of action to make sure Planning Minister and local member Rob Stokes hears loud and clear from the Pittwater community on this issue.
