Support Farmers Fighting for the Right to Say No to Gas

After a decade of coal seam gas production in the region, farmers on Queensland's Darling Downs are seeing huge impacts from coal seam gas. They are losing water, dealing with the stress of negotiations with multinational companies, and witnessing sections of their properties sink with subsidence as gas and water is extracted from beneath them.

We need real protection for our fertile farming regions and to give farmers a right to say no to gas on their land. Will you stand with Queensland farmers?

Will you send a message of support to the affected landholders letting them know you and hundreds of other Queenslanders support their call to protect prime farmland?

This is a chance to push for real reforms - if we stand together. Leave your message below and we will share them with the incredibly tough farmers who have been fighting this injustice for years.

The future is in LOVE centered circular communities. LOVE Looking at what is needed. Opening our eyes to new possibilities. Valuing everything and everyone. Evaluating Ourselves. Australian family owned farms and mines could be rehabilitated by growing hemp (cleans soil of heavy metals, can be used for building, clothing, paper, food, 3D filament (for 3D printers) a bioplastic stronger then steel, biofuel, a superconductor more conductive than graphene etc.) and other multipurpose superfoods. Then installing microfactories at the farm gate to produce plant to product needs based manufacturing. The defence force, retirees and underemployed could be given the opportunity to help rehabilitating Australian owned farms and mines with regeneratively grown plants to defend our most valuable resources. Our future lies in our most valuable resources – Life giving Air, Life giving Water and Life giving food which all are generated in a Life giving environment thank you for being part of a LOVE centred future for your communities.

We stand with you! Mistake? I call BS. And you’re right, $1M is a tap on the wrist and nothing more; they budget those penalties in against what they gain. I say the drills should be removed and made good.

We need to keep farming land safe! We cannot afford to allow farming land to be used for anything else but to grow food. People must eat, and the downgrading of farming land for ANY OTHER PUROSE is going to have severe effects on the food available. Also, petroleum products are not in sync with farming and producing food for the general population. STOP showing no respect, or understand, or proper planning for farming. it is outright apalling that any consideration is being paid to gas or anthing else being taken from farming land! STOP it.

We all need healthy food to eat – and that requires healthy land for growing it on! Having farming land contaminated by fossil fuel companies is criminal.
