Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine. Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.
Thanks for saving Bylong!

Patrick Conaghan commented 2019-09-19 16:10:16 +1000Thank you IPC for this magnificent and brave decision to prohibit coal mining in the beautiful Bylong Valley which decision thereby helps to safeguard the future of our environment and this magnificent scenic valley for future generations of Australians. I have visited that valley several times back in the 1980s, on one occasion with my university geology students and taught them about the geology there. I have followed this long fight to save this valley from total environmental and scenic destruction since the very beginning of the threat to mine coal there and had given up hope that it might be saved. Congratulations on this brave and just decision.
