Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

The IPC has made a very commendable decision on this, taking into account available water, agricultural activity & Climate Change. These type of decisions must be duplicated by our Governments & other regulatory bodies! As well the good people defending their regions must be protected from long term indecision.

A big thanks to the NSW Government and the Independent Planning Commission for your magnificent decisions to reject the Bylong coal mine.

I’m very thankful that this environmentally precious and valuable heritage area will be preserved for now and future generations. This is so important, given that our world’s natural environment is under threat and we must act as custodians, not as users for short term economic gain.

Thank you for your consideration and forward thinking decisions.

This is a great outcome for locals, the country and the planet.

Could you now kindly invite the QLD government over for a cuppa and a chat, to espouse the benefits of clean air, best quality farming soil and good all-round common sense? Much appreciated.

Thank you for standing up against the blind destroyers, and for saving life, water, air and a future for our children. Congratulations; this shows us there is some integrity in our State Government. A huge relief. Now the farms, tourism and all the healthy jobs they require, can continue and sustain us.

Thank you very much for standing up for action against Climate Change and the key causes of it. We can’t wait for corrupt and criminal politicians to do something. They should all be brought before the international Courts for their part in DELIBERATELY carrying out the largest genocide EVER to happen on our planet. What they are doing makes the atrocities of war seem like kindergarten stuff while water and rainfall is becoming incredibly scarce.

All they talk about is building more dams or drilling for water but those measures are useless and imbecilic if it doesn’t rain anymore.

Go to a school strike tomorrow and send the politicians a message.

Ban fracking worldwide now. CSG mining releases Methane gas which is over 80 times worse than CO2 and if they contaminate the ground water it will take 250,000 YEARS BEFORE IT WILL RECOVER . The risks are far too high for a short term profit.

There was rare integrity and deep consideration in the decision to disallow the Bylong Mine.

It could have been easy to continue the usual pattern of short term thinking and priorities. But the Commission and Government’s decision recognises that the decisions we make have wide and long lasting effects.

All involved deserve thanks for their strength and commitment to our future.

Thanks for making the only sensible decision available – we are in a climate crisis and it’s good to see independent decision-makers make the right decisions, properly implementing the precautionary principle which is a legislative requirement that is often incorrectly ignored. It gives hope & sends a msg to the coal industry that political lobbying will not continue to work.
