Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine. Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

Very gratifying that the law now recognises that future generations have the right to expect that this generation should act in their best interests. We need to preserve water sources, soils and agriculture, and a safe climate for humanity to prosper.

Thank you for your decision to refuse the Bylong Coal mine permission to go ahead. Not only for protecting the local values of the area, but marking a milestone in preventing the opening other coal mines which will deplete and possibly pollute our precious groundwater, and most importantly, help reduce the increase of Greenhouse Gas emissions which has already brought us to a Climate Change crisis

Thank you. Now this level of decision needs to be replicated across Australia. It is not saving Tarwyn Park (iconic though it is) that matters so much as all the emissions that won’t happen if the coal is kept in the ground.
