Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

It’s great news that the Bylong Valley has been saved from coal mining. The future has no place for coal mines there, but instead agriculture.

    Thanks

Thanks to the IPC and the NSW Government for saving the Bylong Valley from the mining of coal. This is a very sensible and timely decision considering the current climate and the need to maintain our agriculture and groundwater for future generations. Congratulations!

God bless you and keep you NSW Government and IPC. What joy for the 67% of Australian voters who are very seriously concerned about climate change and the environment, according to large scale surveys reported today on ABC news. (810 AM). Including me.

Congratulations – the first positive step around coal mining weve seen in a long time from a Queenslanders perspective – where our politics and environmental record is quite terrible / ecocide in this regard.

Dear commissioners, thank you for your wise decision to reject the Bylong coal mine. It’s heartening news at a time when there is so much damage being done to the natural environment and when it seem company profits always trump humanity. Your decision gives some hope for the future.

Well done for rejecting the Bylong coal mine. The biggest reason for me is that it will not be able to jeopardise intergenerational equity by worsening climate change. A progressive, sensible decision. Thank you.
