Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

Thank you so much. I read Peter Andrews book, " Back From The Brink". I think it would have broken his heart if this coal mine had gone ahead. Kath

A sincere, heartfelt “thank you” for ensuring concern for the environment, the future of the Earth, sanity and decency prevailed over greed, short term gain and sheer, blind, indifferent disregard for all living things.

Great news as even The Commission also made it clear that the mine would have been contrary to the principle of intergenerational equity and that it would contribute to climate change.

When I drove into the valley I was blown away by the beauty. Also, as from a farming background I was amazed at the lush grass and grazing cattle.

Saving this valley from destruction is the obvious thing to do. Thank goodness some good sense has prevailed.

    Thank you.

I thank you for the decision to reject the Bylon coal mine. Having lived in Latrobe Valley in Vic for 60 years, I have seen the effects massive coal mining has on air, water and the health of local residents. Rehabilitation is non existent of these old mine sites.

    Again, thank you

Thank you for saving the Bylong Valley from being turned into a coal mine! Future Australians will now enjoy its beauty and important ecosystem.

Thank you for listening to Australians and what they want.

Congratulations on standing apart from the usual government bodies who seem to be acting for the corporations instead of the people.

Thanks you from the bottom of my heart for this wise evidence based decision. We cant afford to lose more prime farming areas when water and food security is becoming more precarious. Bless you for this life affirming, rational decision.
