Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

A big “Thank You” to the Independent Planning Commission/NSW Govt for protecting a beautiful place, community and soil from mining, and for finally waking up to the impacts of coal to Australia now, and on future generations.

Thank you so very much for refusing the Bylong Coal Mine. For protecting the Valley, all the aquifer below and Tarwyn Park especially

I’m so sorry you can not rule on those in the Gallilee Basin up north.

    Dear Commissioners

I am extremely pleased with the news, conveyed to me by the Lock the Gate Alliance, that you have refused permission for a new coal mine in the Bylong Valley. This is a truly inspirational decision, especially in the climate change policy vacuum of the current Federal Coal-ition government.

    Thank you for your vision.

So relieved that you’ve made a decision to block the mining of the Bylong. We need more decisions like this to protect our ecosystems, soils and waterways and groundwater from pollution and destruction. Thank you

As a one time resident of this beautiful municipality and a visitor during the drawn out community protest for developing this area as a coal mine, can I just say thank you thank you thank you for your prudent research and the conscientious exploration you have engaged in to reject this plan.

As conservationists wishing to preserve our natural world for future generations, we sadly have very few wins especially against these mighty mining industries.

We must be serious and immediate in preserving arable land, forests, ground water and communities that favour living and caring for the land and mixed use of resources.

Thank you, wow . You have made my day and my year. The beautiful Bylong Valley lives on.

    Dear IPC and NSW GOVERNMENT

Thanks for being informed on the values of the future … for example for protecting the habitat of the Regent Honeyeater. Here’s hoping we are turning toward the R-economy – rescue, rescue, rescue, Nature !
