Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine. Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

Thank you so much for being the first sensible group of decision makers. If only there were more like you in the rest of Australia. We appreciate that you think farmers are more important than a few years of coal mining greed. A note to the NSW Government: Whatever happens, please don’t fold on this decision. It is good and it renews a little of our faith in you.

I am delighted that the NSW Planning Commission has turned down approval for the proposed Bylong Coal Mine. This is the correct decision putting water and farming resources first, recognising the value of this unspoiled area to the community and putting conservation of the Environment before Corporate profits.
