Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

Thank you for having not only vision and foresight, but also compassion for environment and wildlife, in denying the application for a coal mine at Bylong. Natural lands are already being taken over enough by humankind, and we need to coexist on the planet and not just completely overlay it in any and every direction we see fit..

    Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your wisdom in refusing the coal mine proposal for the Bylong Valley – the reasoning is very sound and a vision of a future no longer threatened by environmental damage, including added global warming. The benefits will extend beyond the valley to Australia and the planet!

This is wonderful news! Commonsense has prevailed. It’s such a shame that over the many years leading up to this, during which Kepco have progressively been buying up properties, the land has been allowed to be degraded by weeds. Hopefully new owners will restore the place to its former glory.

I wish to congratulate the NSW Planning Commission for their historic decision to preserve the Bylong Valley. It is a wonderful gift to future generations of Australians – the preservation of a beautiful valley, so close to the township of Mudgee.

The community is indebted to all Commissioners.

Thank you for rejecting the Bylong coal mine. I feel a great sense of relief at hearing this decision. Also hope and joy. Because more decisions can be made like this, where our environment is put first, where our community is heard and respected, and where safety for future generations of humans, plants and animals are considered. It’s a big step towards the change we need to ensure we are protecting our planet.
