Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine. Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.
Thanks for saving Bylong!

Thank you so much for having the clarity of vision to see what would have been lost, and the courage and determination to save it.

Ken Harrison commented 2019-09-20 19:23:00 +1000I have been (un?) fortunate to work the area around the Bylong development (on the coal development). It is with utmost satisfaction that I hear this news. The area is incomparably beautiful and to decimate it with an open cut coal mine would be sacrilegious. If you haven’t been there you must go and see for yourself the beauty this area has… Visit the general store at Bylong (the only shop) and be transported back in time. Then take a wander down to the Church and walk through the cemetery to see its history, then find to old sandstone homestead ( adjacent to the mine office) and see what they thought and how how they cared for this land…
Congratulations on stopping it! -
