Use Your Cranium: Lecture Series

You're invited to the first instalment of the Use Your Cranium: Public Lecture Series.

The “Use Your Cranium: Public lecture series” showcases the work of scientists, intellectuals, and members of the community working towards a sustainable future. This series will open up a public forum for an interdisciplinary critique of the mining industry: From across the earth sciences, to social sciences and cultural theory. The Use Your Cranium lecture series aims to connect scientists, activists, students and the public, with networks and opportunities in campaigning for a better future. What it involves is two 40minute talks by speakers from different fields, as a monthly event, held at the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts.

Dr Mark Diesendorf UNSW 'A Sustainable Energy Future for Australia'
Dr Jeremy Walker UTS 'Neoliberalism and Geoengineering'

Entry is by donation. 
Snacks and beverages will be provided.
5:45pm for a 6pm start.

7:00pm - 7:40pm: Dr Jeremy Walker
7:40pm - 8:00pm: Q & A

This event is supported by the Australian Student Environment Network as part of a nationwide Lock the Campus campaign which seeks to understand and remove the relationships between universities and the fossil fuel industry.
