Q: Would you like to send a message to Wendy?
A: Hello Wendy. You are quite a woman. I can see the determination and fortitude in your eyes. But I see something else also. You are absolutely appalled that those with $ signs in their eyeballs should discount and ride rough-shod over the lives, hopes and contentment of so many of us. And all in the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Go-Girl! as my young friends would say. I’m 63 and not averse to the odd scrap with shire council and Main Roads WA over unnecessary gravel road roadside clearing and their insistence on taking out 150 year old trees in order to align the road and ‘make it safe’. And I run the local Landcare group. Biodiversity, beautiful landscapes, space and feeling the wind and sun on our faces are what makes us Australian. Lucky Us for being able to experience these. And Yes. Let’s fight to keep it that way. Cheers.

I’m heading an organisation called Women Initiating New Directions Org Inc and we are mounting a major event in the Noosa Shire Queensland for IWW 2018. One of the questions that the women in our community are asking “What can ordinary women do to sustain our environment and make a real impact?” I was wondering if you would be interested in coming to be one of our keynote speakers? If you please note my email address. Thanking you for all your hard work – Our country is celebrating!!
