Congratulations on receiving the well deserved recognition for your tenacious fight for the environment and farming. I ordinarily would not have responded with this message due to my incapacities and difficulties experienced in writing it as I am limited by a medical condition, MS. This decision to send my message changed once viewing your speech as realised that without people like you the future of farming for future generations is at great risk. You stood up and showed the success that has followed. Well done! I too, own farming property threatened by mining or I should correctly say ‘gas fracking’. Unfortunately, my medical condition has dampened my fight but your actions have given me the belief that people can win the fight if they are prepared to concentrate their efforts for a desired result that they believe in .

Hopefully the politicians of this country will wake up sooner rather than later to the fact that these mining projects are for short term gain and are detrimental to our food and water security and population health. May your actions inspire and give hope other small communities that they can also have their voice heard

I was horrified by your Bayswster Creek story. Such blatant direspect for human rights, our animals and environment by these big companies. My young son thinks you are a hero. God bless.
