A: As an 84 year old Australian I congratulate you. I am absolutely appalled at the power mining companies have over Australian citizens who have spent their life in this country. Money speaks to politicians and they agree with the mining companies.

Don’t get comfortable, I’m sure you know it’s an ongoing struggle.

Human habitation of the world seems to have become infinitely more complex than back in the 60’s when I helped the Papworth family on the daily beer run up the Hunter Valley from Newcastle to Singleton. So many crucial and interrelated issues.

Joyfully however, as you so clearly demonstrate, women and the older generations are becoming quite a formidable combination in the struggle to bring sense to this very conflicted time in the world’s history.

After our lengthy struggle here in the NSW Northern Rivers, I was moved to put it all down in writing to make sure a clear record is kept (Google: Richard Deem Gasfield Free NSW Northern Rivers). Maybe you could do the same?
