Northern Territory Public meeting on Shale Oil and Gas

We are currently seeing a massive expansion of shale oil and gas exploration applications across the Northern Territory. This unconventional method of gas extraction has been controversial in the US and along the east coast of Australia. It has also been met with fierce opposition by farmers, Traditional Owners and environmentalists concerned about threats to water catchment areas, food basins and sites of cultural significance.

Come along to hear speakers address the current state of play in the NT. Speakers from Environment Centre NT, Protect Arnhem Land, Amateur Fishermen's Association NT, Cattlemen's Association and Lock the Gate Alliance.
