The Queensland Government has just approved plans for Blue Energy to drill 530 new coal seam gas (CSG) wells in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. 

What’s worse, they are also looking to bankroll a proposed gas pipeline that would hook this gas project up to the LNG export terminals at Gladstone. 

If it goes ahead, this Blue Energy gasfield will open up the Bowen Basin to become the next big export gas basin in Australia.
