Sign the Climate Trigger Pledge: Ask Albo to Act Now

“The glaring gap in matters of national environmental significance is climate change….It is time to act. It is time for procrastination to end.”  Anthony Albanese, Federal Parliament 2005.

Despite what Albo said back in 2005, the Federal Government aren’t planning to make a safe and liveable climate a core consideration in their revamped environment laws.

That’s incredibly weak, and it leaves Australia vulnerable to untold damage. Please take the pledge and join the campaign this year to put climate at the heart of environmental decisions.

I’m stepping up to join the campaign to include a ‘climate trigger’ in our national environment laws.  Almost 20 years ago, you stood up in Parliament and vowed to do just that. We are out of time.  As you said so clearly then ‘It is time for procrastination to end’.

Please act now and include the climate trigger in the reforms soon to go to Federal Parliament.
