Beats for Baselines

The Avondale and Winfield communities, after declaring themselves Coal Mine and Gasfield FREE in January 2014, are now taking their level of protection one step further.
Avondale and Winfield are two beautiful communities situated on feeder river systems of the Great Barrier Reef; the Kolan River and Baffle Creek, just north of Bundaberg, Queensland. The community members are very concerned about the potential degradation of their air and water quality and now begin their fundraising efforts for baseline testing.

"Beats for Baselines" is a community fundraising effort hosted by the Avondale Tavern on behalf of the Avondale Action Group and Winfield Action Group, and is supported by Coal Free Wide Bay, Burnett Inc.

The day will consist of Market Stalls, an auction of donated second hand goods, raffles and a line up of 8 local bands that have all generously donated their time for the cause.
