Where would you rather see our taxpayer money invested?

The Government wants to frack, but what does Australia want?

We’ve put together a letter you can sign below and add your ideas for the Federal Government on what they could do with our hard-earned tax dollars.

Please add your name and give us your ideas for where you’d rather see your tax dollars spent.

To Federal Parliamentarians, Ministers, Departments,

We are alarmed and disappointed to see the Federal Government now rolling out a suite of actions to prop up expensive and dangerous gas fracking across Australia without any proper public accountability.

As voters and concerned Australians, we ask that you hear our message - do not spend our money on gas fracking projects and big new gas pipelines.

Farmlands, water resources and the climate can’t afford to keep propping up polluting gas.

It’s time for Australia to grow stronger and tool up to embrace cleaner energy and storage.

There are a multitude of ways the Government could take a smarter approach to the Covid recovery. The Australian community has many ideas on how we can boost agriculture, tourism, First Nations opportunities, community health and disaster relief.

We know we can create jobs by genuinely supporting diverse Australian businesses, not throwing our money at the gas fracking industry.

We see huge opportunities to help Australia to get off polluting and expensive gas into the future, to modernise our power and heating and to save on gas and energy bills.

I ask that you oppose the measures being rolled out to fast-track gas fracking, including the ill-considered and secretive National Gas Infrastructure Plan, and take on board our ideas for how the money could be better spent.

Yours sincerely,

Please add some comments.

Helping Australian businesses get off gas
Funding community projects in your neighbourhood
Land stewardship programs
Supporting First Nations organisations and businesses working on country
Renewable energy projects and battery storage
Disaster relief

Instead of financing gas, coal and oil, public money should be used to create renewable power generation and storage. Maybe even Australia can emerge from the stone age (=gas oil and coal age)!

Now is the time to set a precedent and ask…does this harm the environment..

Invest in alternative solutions….no more destruction!

The health and well being of us, our kids and generations beyond are hanging in the balance NOW. It is time to move to truly sustainable solutions to our predicament which look after our country and its precious water and biodiversity resources. Australia does not need more gas to develop its economy or capacity to cope with catastrophic climate change.

Our wetlands are integral to water quality and retention for lands around and well beyond. Fracking has already PROVEN to be devastating to waterways and lands throughout the planet. Surely this short term gain on a dying energy source cannot still be entertained. These areas should be protected and heritage listed to stop any further conversation on the subject. Our waterways are our source of life. You only get to think, breathe, live because of these gifts of nature. Don’t waste it in arrogant ignorance.

Renewable energy projects and battery storage

Putting money into research – finding alternative & long lasting, environmentally friendly ways to produce energy.

We need to think of our children, grandchildren and the environment we will leave them in the future.

These companies who destroy the land, do not have enough accountability – making millions /billions & then leaving taxpayers to clean up.

Using our Water resources irresponsibly and in most cases unaccountably. Discharging toxic chemicals and salt into our water systems.

    Enough!

This govt/corporation are committing fraud, treason and genocide. They are allowing chem-trailing and the 5G kill grid to roll out. Why on earth would we trust them to stop the water-hungry, earthquake causing, filthy industry of fracking when all their puppet masters are interested in is destroying? We need a new Nuremberg trials to deal with them for the harm they have done to us and the UN needs dismantling for the NOTHING it has done to protect us. Fuck them all.

Please invest money in the INDEPENDENT research of alternate energy sources including non toxic fuel sources / engines. Do NOT donate to universities or other such organisations which are compromised by a combination of their donors and patent restrictions.

Hydrogen production looks like the best and safest technology to pursue. Solar and wind require a huge amount of infrastructure and materials, and the life of the vanes and panels leaves us with the disposal problem. More R&D into hydrogen has to be the way. Coal, gas and nuclear are things of the past. Land and water are inevitably going to be vital in our future so protection through land stewardship, in any form, be that local or national, should be a priority.

Fracking damages good farmland and has the potential to poison the artesian waters. Instead please use the money on renewable energy projects. Fossil fuel companies are wealthy and don’t need taxpayers money. They are just very accomplished lobbyists.

I would prefer that money be spent on developing clean nuclear energy. Technology has come a long long way since Chernobyl and renewable energy projects and battery storage won’t generate enough power to keep our country running as time progresses. Plus, those wind turbines last only 15 years before reaching their Use By date, plus their carbon footprint to construct them is massive!!! Plus, the infrasound they create is harmful to people and animals. Wind Turbines are a disaster. NO MORE PLEASE. Spend some money to take them all down.
