Rivers to Rivers - Don’t Frack Outback Rivers

The free flowing rivers of the Lake Eyre Basin are at a critical point. The Queensland Government is making a decision right now on whether to protect the floodplains from fracking, but the gas industry is pushing back hard.

We need to show that people power is louder than the gas giants.  Will you join us, taking to the streets on Wednesday the 14th September to demand strong protections for precious desert rivers?

Cooper Basin gas is the dirtiest gas in Australia. Opening fracked gas fields in the Lake Eyre Basin will blow our carbon budget and fuel more floods, storms, heatwaves and bushfires - we can’t let this happen!

We will make quite a sight creating a river of blue proceeding down to Parliament house from Queens Gardens. See you there.
