Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

Thank you for a thoughtful and considered decision. While it is in line with the science, heritage and culture significance it also contributes to long term agricultural and economic sustainability. We need, now more than ever, to preserve agricultural land.

This is great news. A couple of years ago I drove through this beautiful part of the world, wanting to know what all the fuss was about. Passing along the Bylong Valley Way i couldn’t believe that anyone would even consider an open cut mine in the vicinity. A wonderful victory for the environment.

A very welcome decision that reflects and acknowledges the need for egalitarian longer-term future-focused planning, not the myopic profiteering preferences of our current governments.
