Thanks for saving Bylong!

Please write a very short message, in your own words, to the Independent Planning Commission and the NSW Government for rejecting the risky Bylong coal mine.  Congratulate them for listening to the experts and protecting this incredible area for its rich soils, precious groundwater and unique heritage values. This means the historic Tarwyn Park property, the home of Natural Sequence Farming, will not be mined.

The Independent Planing Competition is bravely going where other states don’t dare. Other states are just caving in to big mining.

I congratulate the NSW government for siding with the people of NSW by disallowing the Bylong coal mine to go ahead. You have given a ray of hope to the majority of Australians who want out beautiful country protected from the degradation this type of mining causes.

Congratulations on a great decision regarding Bylong. The valley is beautiful and should never have faced despoliation. Further, it is high time to begin the transition from coal as our fuel source. Our planet deserves it.

Our most important resources are clean air, water and environment. Insightful investors putting funds into smart technologies which produce clean water and food. (Netherlands is the second biggest exporter of food in the world after USA despite being such a small country).

The future of investment will be smart energy solutions producing energy where it is used in a zero waste economy. Biodigestors have been installed in farms to produce methane(fracking gas, which can be used to heat water and power generators) and liquid fertilizer from effluent and food waste. These could also be installed in office buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, apartment blocks, etc. Turby wind turbines on the tops of buildings. Wind turbines between lanes on motorways. Designing buildings to be energy efficient and sustainable. These technologies will reduce costly infrastructure and transport miles, not to mention establishment costs.

Thankyou for saving Bylong and making a wise choice for the future of Bylong and Australia.

This is truly incredible news. Well done to all those involved in making such a considered and welcome decision for all Australians. We recently took a road trip through this beautiful valley. We were dismayed by the destruction of the landscape by mining before entering the valley and hoped that it would not extend. Well done!!

Thank you for your decision, hopefully this will be supported in other states and Australia will be kept to support climate change and nature. Not ruined by greedy commercial interests.

Again thank you, keep up the good work

Thank you so much for rejecting the Bylong coal mine! This is a much needed outcome not only to protect important agricultural land but also protect our Country and planet from Climate Change! It is such a relief to see that finally the future is starting to matter and that short term profits for a very small minority are being put well after the protection of our future!
